Here is what's in store for you

Visit the Salvan - Vigne del Pigozzo winery, nestled among the wine territories of Colli Euganei and the Bagnoli DOC, for a special wine tasting experience.

In the favorable seasons, the experience begins with a short walk through the vineyard to discover wine where it is born. Vigne del Pigozzo is located within two wine-growing areas of great interest: the DOC Colli Euganei area, a volcanic territory in which varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet have dwelled happily for more than 150 years and from which great red wines are made; and the DOC Bagnoli area, whose main grape variety, Friularo, is distinguished by its strong character with an important tannicity and acidity that make it a wine for long aging suitable for the most rustic dishes of the Veneto peasant tradition.

After a walk in the vineyard, it will be time to move to the winery for the tasting, conducted directly by winemakers Giorgio, Rosanna, or Francesca, who will be more than happy to adapt the experience to your interest and satisfy your curiosity.

Through the tasting of at least 7 wines, we will discover the rich history of an area with a long winemaking tradition: going back to the time of the Venetians, with indigenous wines such as Friularo and Turchetta, and then we will get closer to the present day with typical Bordeaux varieties that in these volcanic lands give surprising results. The wines will be accompanied by a pairing with local products such as sopressa (local salami) and cheeses typical of the area (vegetarian or vegan pairings are also possible upon request).

All’arrivo abbiamo ricevuto un’introduzione interessante e dettagliata delle loro vigne con aneddoti e racconti storici sul territorio. Tutto ciò guidato dalle nostre domande, quindi se se si vuole finire subito a degustare il vino e ben accetto. Il luogo della degustazione è caratteristico e accogliente. Abbiamo scelto la versione di accompagnamento con i prodotti locali e ne siamo rimasti colpiti: abbinamenti sul pezzo tra affettati e formaggi locali. I vini sono decisamente interessanti e da quelli più leggeri a quelli più intensi c’è sicuramente da stupirsi. Noi abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la compagnia, le descrizioni e tutti i dettagli narrati che sono stati di arricchimento al vino. Grazie!!

Eravamo io e mio marito con il signor Salvan e la moglie! Un’esperienza incredibile: hanno risposto a tutte le nostre domande e curiosità, bevendo e mangiando con noi… abbiamo assaggiato tre affettati e cinque formaggi abbinati ai calici di vino, tutti prodotti del territorio! Spiegazioni puntuali e vino ottimo! Caldamente consigliato

Ottima esperienza. I Sigg. Salvan ci hanno fatto assaggiare tanti vini della loro cantina ma soprattutto ci hanno raccontato tante cose della loro azienda ed anche dei loro vini. Tante informazioni anche tecniche che ci hanno fatto apprezzare ancora di più l esperienza e capire meglio cosa stavamo bevendo. Bella esperienza che consigliamo a chi vuole sapere cosa c è dietro al vino che si sta bevendo.
Noi abbiamo acquistato Friularo e Merlot di varie annate. Molto buoni.

This wine tasting was superb! George and Rosanna were the best host and hostess, not just for supplying us with pancetta, soprezza and capicola, but cheeses, sines, and most important, good cheer! Do not miss the large beautiful (and very old) rosemary bushes and pomegranate trees (September)! Jujube tree too!! We learned about cheese from cows "on holiday" in the cooler areas and young wines and older wines from the same grapes. A very personalized experience not to be missed if you are in the Padua area!
