Here is what's in store for you
Nestled in the wonderful Florentine hills, Fattoria Pagnana, a renowned Chianti winery, is located just 15 km from Florence. For more than half a century, the Breschi family has passionately managed this winery, committed to the area's cultural traditions and sustainable agriculture, producing quality wine and olive oil labels.
Upon arrival, the staff of Fattoria Pagnana will lead you to the production cellars, where there will be a brief introduction to enology and winemaking techniques. This will then be followed by a guided tasting of 5 wines paired with a cutting board of local products, such as cheese, cold cuts, local honey, bruschetta (with cherry tomatoes or beans depending on seasonality), and Tuscan crostini (ranging from olive pate to liver pate) to understand what Chianti is and understand Pagnana's new IGT projects.
Fattoria Pagnana covers 240 hectares, with about 30 dedicated to vines and 40 to olive groves. Nestled between 200 and 250 meters above sea level, the property boasts a variety of east/southeast facing soils, characterized by a good temperature range, ideal for the production of Chianti from the Florentine hills. Wine and oil production is not only a matter of tradition, but also a commitment to sustainability and innovation. The Pagnana winery is dedicated to winemaking which is attentive to modern practices and respects the identity of the area and its soil and climate characteristics.
In recent years, three women from three different generations of the family have worked to bring a more feminine touch to the production, looking to the past to enhance the aspects that make Pagnana unique: love of the land, tradition, and innovation.
In addition to the production of wine and oil, Fattoria Pagnana offers one of the most fascinating farmhouse wine experiences in Tuscany.
