Truffle Hunt and Wine Tasting at Pietraserena in San Gimignano

Your experience begins in the woods of Pietraserena, where you'll meet an expert truffle hunter and the estate's trained dogs. For one hour, you'll follow them on a real truffle hunt through the estate's grounds. Any truffle you find is yours to keep.

After the hunt, you'll head to the estate's terrace for a guided tasting of four wines produced by the Arrigoni family. The tasting walks you through the region's key styles, starting with a Vernaccia di San Gimignano D.O.C.G. "Vigna del Sole", followed by a Rosato di Canaiolo. You'll then taste a Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva D.O.C.G. “Caulio” before finishing with a traditional Vin Santo del Chianti D.O.C.

The wines are served with a selection of local products: bruschetta with the estate's extra virgin olive oil and fresh tomatoes, Pecorino cheese, prosciutto, salami, and crostini with truffle sauce. The Vin Santo is paired with classic Cantuccini biscuits.
