Half-Day Self-Drive Wine Tour in Bergamo: Two Wineries & Four Wines
Here is what's in store for you
This self-drive tour gives you the freedom to explore the wine country surrounding Bergamo, from the hills of Valcalepio and Terre del Colleoni to the renowned Moscato di Scanzo DOCG area. Depending on availability and your selected time slot, you will visit two wineries, chosen from a network of 14 partner estates located across the Bergamo wine region.
At each winery, you will be welcomed for a guided visit and tasting, normally hosted by the winemaker, a member of the family, or dedicated hospitality staff, depending on the estate. You will taste 2 different wines at each stop, for a total of 4 glasses during the experience. The selection varies according to the wineries assigned and may include representative local wines such as Valcalepio Rosso, traditionally produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Valcalepio Bianco from varieties including Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay, and wines from the Terre del Colleoni DOC. When one of the partner wineries in Scanzorosciate is included, the tasting also features a glass of Moscato di Scanzo DOCG.
The wines are accompanied by small local specialties selected by each winery. Pairings vary from one estate to another: some offer local cheeses and cold cuts, which may include typical Bergamo products such as Taleggio, Formai de Mut, or local salami, while others serve lighter snacks such as taralli and olives. Tastings generally take place in dedicated tasting rooms or, weather permitting, on an outdoor terrace.
Available in the morning or afternoon, this self-drive tour does not include transportation. You will travel independently between the two wineries using your own car or taxi. This format gives you the freedom to explore the Bergamo countryside at your own pace while enjoying an introduction to its different wine territories and styles.

Where we are and how to reach us
The tour begins at the first of two wineries, which will be assigned based on availability. The partner wineries are located in the countryside around Bergamo, between 5 and 23 km from the city center. You will receive the exact address and GPS coordinates after booking to navigate independently. Please communicate any mobility issues at the time of booking so the most suitable wineries can be selected.

This experience is reserved for participants over 12 years of age.
For minors, wine is replaced with a glass of fruit juice or water, while the guided winery visit and accompanying snacks remain the same as for adults.The suggested morning schedule starts with arrival at the first winery at 9:45, followed by a guided tour and tasting at 10:00. After the self-transfer to the second winery, the second visit and tasting begin at 11:30, with the tour ending around 13:00.
The suggested afternoon schedule starts with arrival at the first winery at 15:45, followed by a guided tour and tasting at 16:00. After the self-transfer to the second winery, the second visit and tasting begin at 17:30, with the experience ending around 19:00.
