Castle Tour & Wine Tasting with the Marquis at Castello di Tagliolo in Monferrato

Your visit to Castello di Tagliolo begins in the castle courtyard, where the Marquis will personally welcome you. He will guide you through the historic residence, sharing stories of the families who have shaped the castle over the centuries. You will explore rooms filled with period furnishings, family portraits, and historical documents before moving on to the ramparts.

The tour continues down into the ancient wine cellars, where the castle's history meets its long-standing connection to the viticulture of Alto Monferrato. Here, the experience concludes with a guided tasting of 5 wines produced on the estate. The selection is chosen by the Marquis based on seasonal availability and may include local reds like Dolcetto, Ovada DOCG, Gentile, and Barbera Superiore.

The wines are paired with a board of local products, featuring cured meats like salami and prosciutto, and cheeses such as Toma and goat cheese from Monferrato producers. The selection is served with local breadsticks and focaccia. For younger visitors, a smaller board with prosciutto and focaccia can be arranged, served with fruit juice.
