Cellar Tour and Wine Tasting at Fattoria Sant'Appiano in Chianti
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience at Fattoria Sant’Appiano begins with a welcome from a dedicated member of the hospitality team. They will lead you on a tour of the historic cellar, carved directly into the local tuff rock, sharing the estate's history and winemaking methods as you pass the oak barrels where the wines mature.
After the tour, the guided tasting begins. In summer, it takes place on the panoramic terrace; in case of cold or bad weather, it is held inside the cellar. You will taste five Sant'Appiano wines, including a sparkling wine, a fresh white or rosé, a Chianti, and two Super Tuscans. Your host will explain the characteristics and production methods of each wine.
The tasting is accompanied by the estate's extra virgin olive oil, served on bread and tomato bruschetta, and a selection of local cured meats, such as Tuscan salami and prosciutto.
