Visit to the Convent of the Franciscan Friars & Wine Tasting at Cantina Rotaliana
Here is what's in store for you
Step into a place where history, viticulture, and tranquility meet – Mezzolombardo, in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, home to the native Teroldego Rotaliano grape. This unique wine tasting experience at Cantina Rotaliana invites you to explore a vineyard unlike any other, one that lies quietly within the ancient walls of the Convent of the Franciscan Friars, with views extending to the Val di Non.
During this two-hour journey, you’ll be guided by the estate's knowledgeable staff through the vineyard as you immerse yourself in the rhythms of nature. Depending on the season, you may observe budding vines, ripening grapes, or the golden glow of harvest. You'll also gain insight into the various vine training systems used in the production of Cantina Rotaliana's wines and the traditional and sustainable viticultural methods embraced in the region.
The tour concludes with a seated tasting at the estate's stylish and welcoming wine shop. You’ll be guided through a curated tasting of three of Rotaliana's signature wines: R Extra Brut, Müller Thurgau, and Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore Riserva.
The wines are served with a small gourmet entrée, carefully chosen to complement the tasting. For those wishing to enrich the experience further, you may choose to enjoy an optional food and wine pairing for an additional price.
