Castrum invites you to live a unique sensory experience through a tasting of 5 fine Valpolicella wines of our own production, surrounded by a landscape rich in history and beauty.
Meet your guide and let yourself be led into the boutique cellar, decorated with artistic mosaics – a scenic and evocative tasting stage. Then, relax on the panoramic terrace or (in case of rain) in the panoramic room, while tasting: Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC, Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, Corvina IGT, Amarone DOCG, and a sweet Passito IGT “Dolcevita”.
The tasting is accompanied by typical local gourmet products, including gourmet charcuterie and cheese platter, two Castrum mustards, and Sbrisolona cake. Close your eyes and embark on a journey into the world of flavor, feeling perfectly at home.
Castrum Wine Relais and Borghetti Giampiero Winery offer a true “concept” experience: a journey through wines, art, architecture, family history, and centuries-old traditions. We are a winery with a restaurant: our Wine Bistro is open year-round, every day, offering authentic local dishes. We are proud winners of the 2025 Wine Tasting & Food Experience title in Italy at the international Great Wine Capitals of the World competition.

Valpolicella Classica in una cantina quasi privata!
La nostra guida è stata molto disponibile ed espansiva, abbiamo apprezzato molto il fatto di poter parlare in libertà senza limitarci a dovere ascoltare.
La cantina è piccola, ed il vino è destinato prevalentemente all'esportazione... quindi a maggior ragione è stata una esperienza rara poter assaggiare Valpolicella Superiore, Ripasso ed Amarone... è impossibile trovarli altrove!
E' cercando queste piccole realtà (40mila bottiglie in tutto all'anno) e preferendole ai colossi della grande distribuzione che scegliamo di preservare l'artigianalità straordinaria del nostro Paese, e in ogni nostro viaggio cerchiamo proprio di scovare queste piccole perle e nel nostro piccolo di farle conoscere ad amici e familiari.
Proprio all'inizio della degustazione con vista si è affacciato un temporale piuttosto impegnativo... ma gli addetti della struttura sono stati velocissimi a sistemare tutto all'interno e a farci ricominciare la degustazione da capo.
Il tagliere di salumi e formaggi era davvero ricco e completo, abbiamo addirittura avanzato qualcosa perché eravamo pieni!
Siamo stati davvero felici della scelta fatta, e sicuramente la consigliamo!
