Wine tasting discovery experience at Augustali close to Palermo
Here is what you will live
The Farm AUGUSTALI is in Sicily between the two provinces of Trapani and Palermo in the middle of the Gulf of Castellammare enjoying the picturesque hilly landscape sloping down to the sea. AUGUSTALI is in the most fertile part of the Falconeria forest between Alcamo and Partinico, a land that was so dear to Frederick II of Swabia.
The Farm is owned by the oenologist Vincenzo and by his wife Finella, beekeeper and educational farmer; with them, the visitor will have the chance to share smells, colours and tastes of Nature.Passing through a wide green field, olive groves, the vineyards, the citrus orchards, the visitor will get to the new wine-house completed in September 2017: it’s a traditional horizontally-extending one with computerized cold power plants, pneumatic wine press, a modern bottling line and oak cellar. The small but well-equipped cellar is located among the vineyards so that grapes are immediately softly crushed.
The winery is waiting for you in the luscious hilly area so dear to Federico II of Svevia. A pleasant walk accompanied by a guide through the family vineyards and olive groves. Visit to the new wine cellar that takes up the typical shape of the Sicilian Baglio; The tasting starts with two types of wines from the tanks and then continues with other two labels: all accompanied by tastings of local cheeses, salami and olives.
