Let's harvest olives: wine tasting and typical brunch

In the magic of the autumn atmosphere among centuries-old olive groves and quiet landscapes, we at the Augustali Farm are waiting for you to discover together this tradition strongly linked to our territory: the manual harvesting of olives.

After a brief introduction about some olive tree curiosities and the benefits of extra-virgin olive oil, you will be actively involved in laying the nets under the trees and harvesting the olives. Caressing the bark, discovering the age of the trees, defoliating the olives, learning about and smelling the pomace and paste of the olives just produced in Augustali's small mill are the most significant moments of this sensory journey, which will culminate in the tasting of the very first fruit: extra virgin olive oil. A guided tour of the wine cellar will also be offered.

We will complete the experience on the garden veranda where a tasty brunch will be prepared for you, with five different Sicilian specialties, homemade bread with extra virgin olive oil, citrus jams and organic honey; all enriched by the tasting of two wines among Augustali's monovarietals, which evoke all the warmth of the Mediterranean.

The lawn, the animal area, the aromatic garden, the organic vineyard, and the citrus grove are at your disposal to fully experience the colors and smells of the Sicilian countryside.
