Wine Tasting with the Winemaker at Domaine Beaumont Distré-Saumur

Your adventure begins in the vineyard, where you will meet Gérald, the winemaker, who will guide you through the vines and introduce you to the beauty and technical aspects of viticulture. During this bilingual experience in English and French, you will learn about the journey of wine from vine to glass and gain insight into the craftsmanship behind each bottle.

The visit continues with the exploration of the estate’s troglodyte cave, followed by the impressive cathedral-like wine cellar, where the wines are produced and aged.

The highlight of the experience is an immersive guided tasting of 9 wines, showcasing the diversity of the estate’s organic production. You will taste wines made from Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay, discovering the unique character and story behind each wine.

After the tasting, you will enjoy a traditional “casse-croûte vigneron” picnic-style sandwich, paired with one of the wines from the tasting. You can relax and enjoy your picnic in the peaceful surroundings of the estate — in the park, on the terrace, or inside “La Cantine,” the charming troglodyte cave.
