Upon arrival, the patron, Stefano gave us a tour through the production and history, followed by a brilliant tasting. It was truly one of the best tasting experiences I have ever had, as Stefano's passion and knowledge were rather evident and reflected well in the quality of his great wines. The owner, Stefano, was very thorough, knowledgeable, and engaging in his explanation of the winemaking process and the history of the winery! A beautiful tasting journey, we found excellent travel companions and the visit of about two hours flew by! 5 Excellent experience (Matteo)A truly excellent tasting as a couple! The winery is located a few steps from the center of Barolo, immersed in the vineyards of the Cagliero family. The staff welcomed us just a few minutes after they had bottled the wine and we already realized the hard work that goes into such a business. Our guide was kind and welcoming, she told us about the wines produced by her family and their production as if they were children to be proud of. The winery tour is worthwhile for the detailed description of the production processes and the tasting for the quality of the wines, as well as for the company and professionalism of the guide herself. Impossible to go home without buying a bottle!

5 An enchanting experience (Francesca)I was at the Cagliero winery to celebrate the anniversary with my boyfriend and we couldn't have chosen better! After a tour of the winery, the owner had us do a tasting of eight different wines (+2 extra amari) that were truly exquisite, accompanied by breadsticks and hazelnuts. The owner was very kind and very willing to answer all our questions, the wines were excellent and the location - immersed in the vineyards - is very beautiful. We absolutely have to go back!

4 Cagliero Winery (Denis)The 8 of us went to the establishment in question, the owner's welcome was excellent and the technical tour of the production area was very detailed (explanations of the production techniques and historical notes). The quality of the wines offered was excellent and the related explanations were of great substance; truly remarkable preparation and knowledge of the subject. There should have been 8 wines but the owner, very honestly, told us right away that he couldn't offer us the white wines, which he replaced with a Barolo grappa and a Barolo chinato. The only suggestion I feel I can give is to add something more substantial to accompany the tastings, for example cured meats and cheeses (hazelnuts and breadsticks, although plentiful, aren't quite enough to accompany 8 wines).
