5 Small Winery, big Heart (Leonardo)I gave this experience to my girlfriend for her birthday. It was a very interesting two hours and she loved it. We started with a walk through the vineyards, where the owner told us the history of the winery. Then we took a tour of the estate and they explained the entire production process of their wine step by step. Finally we tasted four of their wines, accompanied by an excellent platter of cured meats and cheeses. For each wine, they gave us detailed explanations and advice on the correct pairings. *We also had the opportunity to directly purchase the wines we tasted, so we could take a piece of the experience home with us.* The winery is a bit hidden in the middle of the countryside, but it truly offers a beautiful experience for those who can appreciate the commitment and dedication of a family that has loved this work for generations and reaps its rewards. The Tozzo family is an example of how even a small business can stand out and be on par with the large wineries that focus only on quantity. We highly recommend it. If I had to describe the experience in a single word, I would choose QUALITY.

His wines are deeply territorial, respectful of tradition but with an eye to the future. We also liked the cheese and cured meat pairings that he proposed.

4 Excellent choice (Tiziano)We chose a small producer to get the most out of the experience. It was the right choice; from the visit to the vineyard to the tasting, we were accompanied by Emanuele's very professional explanations. The wines were so good that we bought a few bottles.

2 Better to avoid (mattia)The visit to the vineyard went well, a short walk while they tell us the story of how the company was born, okay that's fine. During the tasting 2 out of 3 bottles of Lugana that we were supposed to taste were missing because we were told they had all been sold, while for the only one they had us try, we are told that that wine should have rested for 3 months to be ready but this one only rested for 1 because like the other bottles, all the ready ones had already been sold. So they had us taste 2 reds from another vineyard. In these situations I would say it's better to avoid holding a tasting.

5 A small winery of excellence (Giorgio)We participated in a tasting with a tour of the winery. Emanuele, the owner, was kind and helpful for the entire duration of the experience. The company is a small family business, which in a few years, with the passion and dedication of its owner, has grown to carve out a space of excellence within the wine scene of the Lugana territory and more generally of Lake Garda. The tour of the vineyard allowed us to learn about the history and the techniques undertaken for the growth and harvesting of the grapes. In the cellar, we learned the secrets of the fermentation that gives these wines, both the Lugana and the Merlot, their peculiarity. Finally, through the tasting we were able to grasp the flavor, the aromas and the colors of exceptional wines, each with its own, marked personality.

4 Visit to Il Gelso Winery (Frattini)We visited this small establishment yesterday. Welcomed with great kindness right from our arrival, we chatted with the owners who were very down-to-earth and willing to answer all our questions. A tour through the rows of vines and then a tasting of their wines with bruschetta, cured meats and cheese. But let's get to the wine... we are not connoisseurs, but I believe that good wine made as it should be is appreciated by everyone, and we really liked these wines a lot! The owner truly does his work with so much passion and commitment. We highly recommend everyone try their wines to support a small business that we truly hope can grow while keeping the ethical principles that distinguish them unchanged.

This is what we found on Friday evening, a young man, Emanuele, who welcomed us into his world, opened up his story to us and with his friendly and down-to-earth manner made us experience the feelings of a winemaker who with passion and determination is working for the future but with solid foundations from the past.
