Antichi Vinai is dedicated to producing wines that celebrate the rich heritage of Etnean and native Sicilian grape varieties. For over four generations, the family has focused exclusively on cultivating and vinifying grapes that are deeply rooted in the history and terroir of Sicily. By adhering to traditional methods and resisting fleeting trends, Antichi Vinai ensures that each wine preserves the authentic character and unique qualities of the island’s indigenous grapes. Situated on the slopes of Mount Etna, our vineyards are steeped in the volcanic soil, where the vines absorb the distinct flavors and spirit of the land. Antichi Vinai takes pride in producing wines under the prestigious DOC Etna, the first Sicilian wine region to receive the denomination of controlled origin in 1968. Our wines, including Etna Rosso, Rosato, Bianco, and Bianco Superiore, are crafted from the indigenous vines that have thrived on Mount Etna’s slopes for centuries. The volcanic terroir imparts a distinctive minerality and complexity to our wines, capturing the essence of the Etnean landscape. By carefully selecting traditional cultivation and vinification techniques, we preserve the integrity and typicality of our wines, allowing the natural flavors of the grapes to shine through. Our vineyards are located in prime areas across the province of Catania, including historic villages like Randazzo, Linguaglossa, and Zafferana Etnea, where the vines are nurtured by the rich volcanic soil and unique microclimates.
