Cà Maiol

A farmhouse dating back to 1710 and the surrounding lands near the southern shores of Lake Garda were the inspiration that gave life to the estate in 1967. A place chosen not only for its distinctive microclimate, but also because history teaches us that these lands have long been known for producing quality wine. The founder’s passion for this area and for the grape that gives birth to Lugana led him, together with other winegrowers, to commit to developing the region, contributing to the creation of the Consortium for the Protection of Lugana DOC.

Today, the estate encompasses 118 hectares of vineyards around Lake Garda: to the south, in Lugana, and to the west, in Valtènesi. In 2017, Cà Maiol became part of the winemaking mosaic of the Herita Marzotto Wine Estates.

Guided by the idea of wine as the result of cultivation in harmony with nature’s forces, Cà Maiol’s agronomic and oenological choices reflect this philosophy. In the vineyard, farming practices that respect the ecosystem and its inhabitants are a commitment to the present to protect the future.
