TO US WINE MEANS QUALITY,RESEARCH AND TRADITION, BUT ABOVE ALL IT’S PASSION AND REFLECTION. Lambrusco of Mantua: artisan and classic. It’s the wine we’ve always loved, the one we’ve always dreamt of making and today we’re producing it in our wonderful land, in San Benedetto Po, in the province of Mantua. Walking along the vineyard you can find the traditional grapes of Mantua with their colours, their smell and typical flavour.Making a natural, artisan and local wine following ancient practices and innovative technologies has been an essential part of our life for ten years.
Bugno Martino farm has been named after the old hamlet of San Benedetto Po (Mantua), where our vineyards are born. We’re in the lands of Oltrepò Mantovano, homeland of Mantuan Lambrusco, a red sparkling wine with a peppy and convivial personality. Salamino, Ancellotta, Grappello Ruberti are the varieties of Lambrusco we grow. A 9-hectares low-yield vineyard, selective Simonit & Sirch pruning, selection of the best bunches: this is the only way our land can give its best. The intervention in the winery is limited to what’s strictly necessary, in order not to alter the deep essence of the vineyard product. We support the transformation of the grapes keeping its characteristics of the year, seizing its personality and its structure. So we can say that the winery is already in the vineyard, our wine is born in the fields.
