Cadgal - Tenuta La Cova
About the Winery
Tenuta Valdivilla is located in the prestigious territory of Moscato d'Asti and is home to the historic winery dedicated to its production. The vineyards, trained using the Guyot method, cover six hectares rooted in soils typical of this area of the Langhe. At the heart of this renowned terroir, the Wine Country House offers accommodation in five comfortable rooms, furnished in an authentic and familiar style characteristic of the Langhe. At Valdivilla, tasting experiences include visits to the renowned vineyards, sought after by travelers wishing to immerse themselves in an unparalleled atmosphere where history, tradition, and the beauty of the landscape come together in every sip.
Tenuta La Cova in Calamandrana extends across 25 hectares: nine are devoted to vineyards trained with the Guyot system—situated in the heart of the cultivation area for the finest Barbera grapes—five are planted with hazelnut orchards, while the remaining hectares are dedicated to woodland and ancient trees surrounding the estate headquarters and the newly built winery dedicated to vinifying all wines of Cadgal’s new chapter.
The estate's Wine Country House offers a unique lodging experience, with three elegantly furnished rooms in the Manor Villa and an adjacent independent apartment. The estate is designed to host guided tours and tastings with views over Monferrato, as well as private and professional events, capturing the essence of Cadgal’s hospitality and oenological excellence.
About the Wines
In Valdivilla's historic winery, we produce three types of Moscato: a traditional Moscato, a Canelli, aged for 9 months in the bottle, and an aged Moscato, which spent 5 years in the sand.
In the new winery in Calamandrana, on the other hand, we produce Cadgal's new signature wines, namely: the Barbera from base to Nizza, a Pinot Noir, a Chardonnay, and a Sauvignon.
