Recensione cantina Casorzo

Rate: 5 out of 5 7/1/25
Ambiente curato, seppur non di alta classe. Personale molto molto gentile.

About Winery and Wines

Historical producer of great Piedmontese wines, the Cantina di Casorzo is the perfect synthesis of tradition, terroir and modern technologies.

It began with a courageous choice: in 1951, 200 founding members dedicated to the cultivation of the vine decide to join, in net contrast with the widespread exodus of young people from the countryside to the cities, to create what would later become a of the best known Piedmontese realities in the sector wine, especially for its sweet wine Malvasia di Casorzo D.O.C.

Its creation, however, was certainly more laborious and expensive than dream, since it led the founders to go into debt, mortgaging even their homes and land. The winery

has seen the light thanks to the sacrifices of people who dreamed and have strongly believed that the establishment of this Cooperative would have enriched and enhanced the future of its children and the surrounding territory, choosing to strengthen its skills and experience in a company that at the same time preserve the heritage of traditions.

Here the 24 members give all the grapes they produce, allowing the winery to have a raw material of excellence and very diversified: the 150 hectares of vineyards, in fact, have a remarkable variety of the best denominations of origin: Malvasia, Barbera, Grignolino, Freisa, Dolcetto, Bonarda, Albarossa, Nebbiolo, Ruchè, Merlot, Cabernet, Viognier, Cortese, Chardonnay.
