About the Winery
Facing the splendid Gulf of Naples with its spectacular view of the sea we find the wine-growing region and cellars of the De Angelis family. Raffaele De Angelis, in 1936, founded the family business continued by his family with the same passion and commitment which is respected throughout Naples. The company is now run by a Sorrentine businessman who is continuing to carry on the family passion: to enhance the wines of the province of Naples.
About the Wines
Francesco Di Somma, the legal representative, collaborates with the winemaker Angelo Valentino to produce DOC, PDO, and IGT, using only native grapes such as Aglianico, Piedirosso, Falanghina, Greco, and Caprettone. The company produces 250.000 bottles of wine annually, cultivated from grapes grown in the local hills and distilled in modern metal containers and barrels. The famous red wine, Nero del Tasso, is matured in barrels for 24 months followed by 12 months in bottles. The revered Bianco del Tasso matures for 12 months. All wines produced by the De Angelis family reflect their wisdom, knowledge, and experience of cultivating grapes into a modern evolution of production.

Fabulous Wine Tasting
Fabio did an amazing job explaining the wines & the grapes! The wines were quite good & not expensive! We had a wonderful time with out friends!

Perfect time well spent in Sorrento.. We enjoyed our time with Fabio and all the new friends we met there. Also bought and enjoyed some wine while we stay here!!
Everything was perfect and we had a great time and experience. The only thing I can think of we were not sure at which entrance to meet at.

Fabio was an outstanding host, telling us about the winery, their approach, each individual wine, and what was special about it. The food pairings were top notch, and the wines were outstanding. We brought a few home for our cellar. Highly recommend.

Fabio was fantastic. We ended up with a couple from the same country as us and he was so personable and made our tasting relevant for all of us. There was a small group of 5 including our 6 year old son and he was great with him. We had so much fun. Fabio was generous, friendly and knowledgeable! A must do in Sorrento, thank you Fabio!!!

We had an absolutely incredible wine tasting experience yesterday at DeAngelis Winery in Sorrento. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed into a relaxed and elegant setting that beautifully reflected the spirit of the region.
Fabio, our host, brought the entire experience to life. His passion for the craft, deep knowledge of the winery’s history, and charming storytelling made the tasting not just enjoyable but enriching. We sampled a fantastic selection of nine distinct wines, each with its own character and beautifully representative of Campania’s terroir. From crisp whites to full-bodied reds, every pour offered something new to explore and appreciate.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail—the curated meats and cheeses were perfectly paired with each wine, enhancing the tasting in all the right ways. Fabio also went above and beyond in making sure everyone in the group felt at ease. The atmosphere was friendly and social, with our fellow guests adding to the fun and conviviality.
As a family of five, we were especially grateful for how Fabio looked after our three teenagers. He engaged them with enthusiasm, made them feel included and special, and ensured they enjoyed the experience as much as the adults. It’s rare to find that level of thoughtful hospitality.
This tasting was much more than sipping wine—it was a memorable afternoon of stories, flavours, and connection. DeAngelis Winery is a must-do when in Sorrento. We’re already dreaming of coming back!
