About the Wines

The wines of Cantine Luzi are deeply rooted in the history and tradition of Clavesana, particularly through the iconic Dolcetto grape, which has long been a symbol of the region. The legacy of female influence on the estate is profound, with figures like Bueta, who was instrumental in the early agricultural operations, and Mirella Luzi Donadei, who modernized and elevated the estate's winemaking practices. Mirella was the first in the area to bottle wine under her own label, setting a precedent for quality and innovation. Today, her legacy is carried forward by Cecilia, wife of Andrea Luzi, who infuses the winery with youthful enthusiasm and a dedication to excellence.

Cantine Luzi’s wines, from the rich and robust Dolcetto to other carefully crafted varietals, reflect a meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for the land. Each bottle is a testament to the estate's ongoing quest for quality, offering a unique expression of the region's terroir. Whether enjoyed in the grand halls of the estate or at a special occasion elsewhere, the wines of Cantine Luzi invite you to savor the essence of Clavesana, where tradition and innovation meet in every sip.

Cultural immersion
More than a simple tasting, it's a cultural immersion. Andrea unravels a red thread that passes through the centuries of his family, among the hills and vineyards of the Langhe, to arrive at the table with the wines to taste, with informality and in full harmony. A beautiful experience!

Very beautiful place!
We did a basic tasting because there were three of us. The place is very beautiful and full of history, the wines very good. The owner tells anecdotes and stories, a nice aperitivo with typical products offered.

Tasting at a friend's house
It wasn't the classic visit to the cellars but a nice tour of the vineyards to then enter the farmhouse where the owner still lives and have a nice tasting of the excellent wines accompanied by cheeses and cured meats.
The tour, including the drinking, is very long and the owner is very friendly, I recommend arriving early and doing everything calmly.

Tasting at the Luzi Donadei cellars
The owner, Andrea, guided us on this very unique experience, which began with a visit to the old cellars, now in disuse but kept very well, then continued into the family's historic home and ended with a tasting of three wines accompanied by local food.
More than a true tasting, it was a journey into the owner's life, not what I expected but unique and certainly very interesting.

Grazie!
