Cantine Viola, located in the heart of Saracena, Calabria, has been preserving and reviving local winemaking traditions for generations. Founded by Luigi Viola, a retired teacher with a passion for nature and farming, the winery has become renowned for saving the ancient Moscato di Saracena from extinction. Today, the entire Viola family is involved in producing high-quality wines, focusing on local grape varieties and sustainable farming practices. Set within the Pollino National Park, the winery offers visitors a unique experience, blending history, nature, and winemaking.

Cantine Viola is known for its dedication to local grape varieties, including Magliocco Dolce, Moscatello di Saracena, Guarnaccia Bianca, Malvasia, and Mantonico. The vineyards benefit from a microclimate created by their location at 350 meters above sea level, where they are sun-kissed from dawn to dusk and protected from harsh winds by the Pollino mountains. Their organic, Bioagricert-certified practices produce wines that reflect the natural richness of the land, with deep flavors and aromatic complexity.
