About Winery and Wines
D'Origem is a family-owned winery located in Casal de Loivos, Pinhão, in the heart of the Douro Valley. Founded in 2001, D’Origem continues a long family tradition of winemaking that spans four generations.
Our estate combines authentic Douro heritage with modern craftsmanship. In addition to premium wines, we also produce olive oil, honey, and grape juice, all reflecting the richness of our region.
Visitors can explore the D’Origem Olive Oil Museum (“Lagar Museu do Azeite”), where the old stone press has been carefully kept to showcase the history of olive oil production. Wine and olive oil tastings take place on our panoramic terrace, offering breathtaking views over the Douro River.
At D’Origem, every experience is designed to share the tradition, flavors, and hospitality of the Douro Valley.
D’Origem wines are mostly produced under the Douro DOC designation, using grapes from our own vineyards and traditional foot-treading in granite “lagares.” We produce a balanced range of wines, each expressing the character of our terroir:
Herança – Douro DOC
A smooth, elegant red blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca. Ruby color, notes of ripe fruit and rockrose, aged briefly in oak.
Velha Geração – Grande Reserva
Our signature red wine, crafted only in exceptional years. Powerful yet balanced, with fine tannins and depth from oak ageing.
Velha Geração – Reserva Branco
A refined white wine offering freshness, minerality, and structure — perfect with seafood or light dishes.
Fisgas – Rosé
A lively, aromatic rosé that captures the freshness and vibrancy of the Douro.
