Wine tasting far from mass tourism
Very nice experience. Lovely staff. Very informative tour. Excellent wine! The icing on the cake, the romantic picnic.
I would suggest gearing the picnic towards savory rather than sweet: a good piece of bread, some cheese and a bit of charcuterie always work.

Great experience!
It has been a very good experience, interesting wine cellar tour and nice selection of wines. They offered us a few locations to do the picnic and we chose the castle, which has been incredible. Fantastic place and view! The woman leading the wine tasting was knowledgable and fun and trying to tailor the experience to our taste as much as possible. Thank you so much!

A fun tour of the winery and (almost bottomless) tasting
The entire staff of the tasting room was very friendly and extended great hospitality to us. The tour and tasting lead Miguel was very knowledgeable. He explained in detail the steps to make wine from harvest to bottling in the winery. The information on the corks used in different grades of wines was an eye opener. The highlight was of course the tasting. We tasted more than half dozen of It was accompanied with local bread, sausage, goat cheese, and pumpkin jam. There were other tasting groups that came during our tasting session, and Miguel effortlessly entertained everybody! Dioynsus would have Miguel be his PR manager.!
A sampling of the dried out grapes during off-harvest times would make the experience even more unique - I am speaking out loud from the perspective of a layman.

Nice afternoon
Good and informative tour of the plant including the charming dog! Great tastings and explanations - A+.
The only issue is the map on Winedering is wrong - it needs fixing or someone will get run over on busy highway.

Wine maker for a day
We were at Ervideira for a tour called “winemaker for a day” yesterday.

The tour was conducted by Miguel, and what a tour it was, indeed. We started with an explanation of the purpose and what was going to happen - after that, we got to taste the different varieties of grapes we were going to use for our own blend. All in a very accessible, straightforward way giving us all the tools needed.

Miguel is very knowledgeable, easily accessible and has a kind personality, making him nice to work with - in short, a real asset for this kind of tours (and to his employer)

The tour itself was really fun to do, and we also learned a lot about mixing grapes into a blend that works for YOU. All in all, a fun way to spend your (in our case) afternoon!

After the tour, we had a tasting for the Ervideira wines, paired with some foods to conclude the afternoon.

Would definetely recommend!
