Fattoria Acquaviva

Founded in 1984 by Serafino D'Ascenzi, Fattoria Acquaviva is located in the heart of the Maremma region, where the areas of Morellino di Scansano and Maremma Toscana intersect. Originally starting with just three hectares of white vineyards, the estate has grown to 15 hectares, now cultivating both red and white varieties. Our vineyard is home to an array of grape varieties, including Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Malvasia Nera, Alicante, Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Verdello, and Malvasia Bianca. Committed to sustainability, Fattoria Acquaviva has been a pioneer in enotourism, opening an agriturismo in 1992 and offering guided tours and tastings to enhance the connection between the consumer and the land.

With a focus on multifunctional agriculture, we are constantly evolving, integrating innovative techniques and striving for excellence while maintaining a deep respect for the environment. Our farm is a family-run enterprise fueled by passion and a commitment to the future, blending tradition with modern agricultural practices to produce wines that are a true reflection of the Maremma terroir.

Fattoria Acquaviva’s wines are a celebration of the Maremma region's diversity, with a particular focus on Morellino di Scansano and Maremma Toscana. Our signature red grape, Sangiovese, covers 10 hectares of our vineyards and forms the backbone of our Morellino di Scansano DOCG wines, including Nero and Bracaleta Riserva, as well as the Maremma Toscana Rosso DOC Pian di Giomo.

Our white wines focus primarily on Trebbiano, a predominant grape in our Biancospino, Acquaviva, and Tutti Santi labels, alongside our Chardonnay, crafted from the namesake grape variety. We also offer two delightful sweet wines: Paiolo, a traditional Vin Santo, and Nottambulo, a Sangiovese-based Passito. Additionally, our estate produces distillates, including Essenza di Nero, an eau de vie, and Oro di Nero, a brandy made from Morellino. Each bottle from Fattoria Acquaviva reflects our dedication to quality.
