The wines themselves were a little disappointing - however this is down to personal taste and in no way detracted from the overall experience.

5 Ottima accoglienza e ottimo vino (simone)La visita ci è piaciuta molto e ci ha fatto molto piacere conoscere di persona chi produce questi vini con una sentita, profonda e ammirevole passione che intreccia la storia, la storia familiare e le tradizioni della terra che hanno scelto di coltivare. Da semplici fruitori possiamo dire che eravamo venuti a visitare il podere 414 perché eravamo rimasti molto sorpresi dalla bontà del loro Morellino, ma che siamo rimasti quasi senza parole per la sorpresa assaggiando altre qualità che non conoscevamo, come per esempio il Trebbiano Toscano e il Vino del Bersagliere Riserva. Un ringraziamento particolare alla signora Roberta che è stata un’ambasciatrice perfetta durante la nostra visita.

5 Amazing and Unique Selection (RAFFAELLA PAGANO e ANGELO MAMBRINI)We drive in and enjoy the delightful signs to the winery and the gorgeous views of the valley. Raffaella immediately appeared to welcome us with a tray of salamis and breads dipped in the olive oil that they also produce and then ushered us into the main room to explain the wines. She explained the entire catalog and we were saddened that we had only booked a package with 3. We selected the white Francescone, golden Viognier, and the signature Sangiovese; we also sampled the vermouth and the 2 dessert wines. All were absolutely superb, but the Viognier by itself justifies the trip. It is a white wine fermented with the skins and gains a delightful orange gold color with a flavor surprisingly similar to a red. We followed the tasting with a little walk around the vineyards (it was a windy November day so we cut that short). Our only issue was that we had booked last minute right before a convention and they had already packed up their card reader so we couldn't buy as many bottles as we wanted.

5 Amazing experience (Laura)The wine tasting at Rocca di montemassi was amazing! The Tour in the museum and around the winery guided by Riccardo was super interesting and fun. He answered all the questions we had and gave a really good insight in what makes winery so special! Afterwards we tried the different wines and had our charcuterie board. The quality of the wines and food was great. The only advice I can give to other guest: wear something to cover up your arms and legs - there are a lot of mosquitoes!

5 Wonderful Belguardo (Tenuta)The visit to the Estate was a fantastic experience, from the tour of the cellar to the tasting, to the walk in the greenery. We had an accurate explanation of the entire winemaking process and of the choices regarding the vineyards and the products, with a focus on the territory and the history of the winery, all seasoned with great courtesy and hospitality. We bought some bottles that we can't wait to taste in the coming months / years, and were able to experience the quality of the Vermentino V also at dinner in a local restaurant. Especially try the Tenuta, the Morellino, the rosé and the ciliegiolo. Highly recommended Thanks a lot!

5 A perfect day (Andrea)We arrived and Carlo immediately welcomed us with a smile and enthusiasm, explaining the vineyard and the whole production process to obtain their wines. After that we moved on to the tasting on their terrace (with a breathtaking view of the Maremma). To say that the products we tried were good is an understatement, the food was of excellent quality and exquisite and the paired wines simply magnificent.

5 The pleasure of being welcomed (Andrea nikko )As soon as you arrive, you immediately realize you are not in one of those glossy, cover-story wineries. Once past the entrance gate, you are immediately immersed in the reality of winemaking businesses, with rows of vines that almost follow you on your brief climb up the hill, offering halfway up a small clearing in the shade of trees, from where you can admire the beauty of the landscape. It didn't take us long to get to the farm, located halfway up the hill, and even less time to be welcomed by the owners. It is a family of mixed origins, Sardinian and German, settled in Tuscany for two generations. You immediately realize how important this is: the family is clearly tied to the territory by an intense love, which they pour into their products. And this love makes them continuously seek to improve and better themselves. Shortly after arriving and exchanging a few words, we entered a low building that had clearly been recently renovated. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and exudes a sense of rustic practicality. After a short while, a tour began among quality wines, carasau bread, olives, cured meats, cheeses, and the stories of the family and its products. After a white and a rosé of decent quality, we continued with an “easy-drinking” red called Don Lucifero. Despite being quite simple, or perhaps precisely because of it, both my wife and I particularly liked it. Next, we tasted a Morellino and a wine called Aione. What can I say, Morellino is Morellino. Here too, nothing that approaches the complexity of a Piedmontese wine (Nebbiolo, Barolo), but for this very reason it is a wine that you can pair much more easily with today's dishes. Of the five I tasted, it was the one I liked the most. The last of the lot, called Aione, is decidedly the most structured and complex, and perhaps for this reason it seemed less interesting to me than the other two I mentioned. Be that as it may, the experience was very pleasant and accessible for people like my wife and me, very occasional drinkers and - we were not ashamed to say it - decidedly not very knowledgeable about wine. I certainly recommend it!
