I Colli del Sannio
About the Winery
Nestled in a hilly landscape dotted with vineyards and olive groves, the I Colli Del Sannio winery was founded in 2005, rooted in a centuries-old farming tradition. Six grape varieties are grown: Aglianico, Falanghina, Coda di Volpe, Barbera del Sannio, Piedirosso, and Sciascinoso. These ancient vines have long been widespread in the Taburno area, where they today express their full potential, having found a favorable climate and soil. A family of farmers with a passion for vineyards and wine, their many sacrifices, the ideal synergy between land, cellarmanship, and people, and the right balance between innovation and tradition, have made it possible to realize the dream of faithfully representing the great winemaking tradition of Taburno.
The human factor deployed by the Zotti family is entirely devoted to enhancing the territory and cultivars. The winery extends over 12 hectares between the municipalities of Benevento and Torrecuso. Here, the naturalness of the production process, rather than a constraint to be respected, is the means that enhances the wines' recognizability. Recognizing that wine quality begins in the vineyard, the vineyards are meticulously cared for and maintained, following integrated pest management methods aimed at finding the best solutions while fully respecting environmental balances.
