Mas Comtal

Mas Comtal is a family-run estate in the Penedès region, where 40 hectares of organic vines flourish at the foot of the Garraf mountains. Deeply rooted in a philosophy of sustainability, the winery practices agriculture that promotes biodiversity and respects the land’s cultural and historical heritage. The estate's terroir is influenced by the Mediterranean climate, with protection from northern winds provided by the Montserrat hills. The soil, from the Quaternary period, is composed of sand, mud, and clay, making it limy and highly permeable—ideal for producing wines with character. Every decision made by the winemaker, from the timing of the harvest to the aging process, shapes the personal and distinctive qualities of each wine, ensuring no two wines are ever alike.
