Mas Comtal is a family-run estate in the Penedès region, where 40 hectares of organic vines flourish at the foot of the Garraf mountains. Deeply rooted in a philosophy of sustainability, the winery practices agriculture that promotes biodiversity and respects the land’s cultural and historical heritage. With each vintage, Mas Comtal produces wines that reflect the unique qualities of the year’s harvest, embracing the adventure and magic of organic "author" winemaking.

The estate's terroir is influenced by the Mediterranean climate, with protection from northern winds provided by the Montserrat hills. The soil, from the Quaternary period, is composed of sand, mud, and clay, making it limy and highly permeable—ideal for producing wines with character. Every decision made by the winemaker, from the timing of the harvest to the aging process, shapes the personal and distinctive qualities of each wine, ensuring no two wines are ever alike.

At Mas Comtal, each vineyard is carefully tended with the future wine in mind, aiming to surprise, satisfy, and inspire a wide variety of tastes. The winery has embraced the use of native yeasts and has greatly reduced the use of sulfites, ensuring a more natural approach to winemaking.
