Pqlin-azienda Agricola Battaglino Angelo

Winery in Langhe, Roero

About the Winery

Located at the gateway to the Roero, overlooking the Langhe, in Castagnito, is Pqlin Winery, a family business with a 100-year tradition, since our grandfather Angelo, known as "Piculin," because the youngest of his brothers, began making wine for his family and later for friends, who appreciated the passion he put into tending the vineyards.

The same passion that passed from my parents Eleuterio and Michelina, has been passed on to me Margherita, who will accompany you on a journey that will first let you discover how we produce and afterwards taste our wines; both in our cellar and in our vineyards.

Pqlin where the Q, the protagonist of the logo, replaces the syllable /cu/, the beginning of a new day and a new winery. The sign of the sun rising among the hills of Roero marks the dawn of a new generation, ours, the fourth is waiting for you.

Tasting with a spectacular view
On Saturday I participated in a truly pleasant wine tasting.
The quality of both the food and the wines was excellent, everything was well-prepared and absolutely in line with expectations.
The staff proved to be kind, welcoming, and always available, helping to create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
An added value was undoubtedly the view: simply amazing, it made the experience even more special.
Overall, an experience I recommend without a doubt!

Excellent and wonderful discovery of Roero wines
My wife and I visited this magnificent family vineyard in February during the Olympic Games.
The view from the vineyard is incredible, just like their wine.
We greatly appreciated the welcome, the kindness, and the tour offered by the host.
You could feel the passion and love he had for his wines.
The wines were excellent and paired well with the cheese and charcuterie platters.
Pqlin offers well-made, tasty, complex, and distinctive wines.
In short, a top-notch experience and wines.
We recommend the Roero Arneis, the Nebbiolo d'Alba, the Alta Langa, and the Passito, which are wines little known outside of Piedmont but are absolutely excellent.
The tasting accompanied by small bites is a must-do choice.

What a beautiful winery and location! They really took the time to explain everything and answer our questions. The food pairings were spot on as well. Id highly recommend it, and with beautiful rooms as well its an excellent spot to base your wine excursions.

An authentic experience among wines, flavors, and hospitality
We had a truly very pleasant experience at this winery. The tasting was curated in every detail: from the clear and engaging explanation of the winemaking process, to the excellent tastings accompanied by quality assorted platters. The finish with the hazelnut cake was the perfect conclusion to a journey rich in flavors.

Everything took place outdoors, in a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were very kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable, able to convey passion and expertise.

An experience we highly recommend to those who love good wine and wish to spend a few hours in an authentic and pleasant environment.

The panorama of the Roero hills completes a sensory immersion into a treasure of our food and wine cultural heritage.
Applause for the company's management.
