Esperienza da ripetere

Una sola volta non basta è sicuramente una esperienza da ripetere per l'ottima spiegazione, i magnifici paesaggi e non meno importante, l'ottimo vino.

Esperienza molto interessante nel cuore della valle d’itria, Un’esperienza che ha coniugato conoscenza, del luogo e della produzione vinicola, e scoperta dei sapori tipici delle valle pugliese. Il proprietario della tenuta é stato estremamente gentile nell’accoglierci, raccontarci e mostrarci tutti i passaggi della produzione. Tutto è stato rispettato secondo quello che l’iter prevedeva, compreso l’aperitivo finale con degustazione delle tre tipologie di vino prodotte.

About Winery and Wines

Tenuta Santoro is located in Valle d'Itria, where time seems to have stood still, a crossroads of peoples and civilizations of which legends of demigods, good devils, brigands and great drinkers (and a few saints) still live on in the tales of the aziani - memory of the district. 

The winemaking activity is conducted in the heart of Valle d'Itria, between Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Cisternino, in the same land chosen by the owner's ancestors to plant the first vineyards and that today Marco Emilio Santoro cultivates in the fifth generation.

At Tenuta Santoro, with the aim of creating an interacting agro-ecosystem conducive to the organic management of the entire farm, plots of different nature have been acquired over the years: woods, tree pastures, olive groves and arable land. Typical of the area is the red soil, poor in nitrogen, partially endowed with clay, silt and sand, rich in potassium and bolus. The karst subsoil and the area's significant temperature ranges favor quality wine production.
