Tenuta Fanton

Tenuta Fanton is a young artisanal winery located on the hills of Città Sant’Angelo, in Abruzzo, between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso mountains.

Behind the project is a personal story of change: after working for 2 years in the banking sector in Germany, the founder chose to return to Italy and dedicate his life to wine, nature, and a slower, more meaningful way of living. Today, each day begins by looking at the sea and ends among the vineyards.

Tenuta Fanton is driven by a deep respect for the land and for Abruzzo’s native grape varieties. The work in the vineyard is hands-on and sustainable, with great attention to balance, seasonality, and identity. In the cellar, intervention is minimal, allowing the grapes to express their true character and origin.

Behind the scenes, Tenuta Fanton is a small, passionate team where every detail matters—from vineyard work to winemaking, from bottling to welcoming guests. Wine here is not just a product, but the result of patience, craftsmanship, and a strong emotional connection to the territory.

At Tenuta Fanton, we currently produce five wines, all deeply connected to the identity of Abruzzo and its native grape varieties.

Our range includes Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, and Pecorino, wines that express freshness, balance, and a strong sense of place. Montepulciano represents the structure and depth of the territory, Cerasuolo combines elegance with vibrant fruit, while Pecorino stands out for its minerality, freshness, and natural tension.

Alongside our still wines, we also produce two bottle-refermented wines, made using the ancestral method. These wines are lively, expressive, and crafted with minimal intervention, highlighting purity, spontaneity, and drinkability. They reflect our experimental side and our desire to explore new expressions of traditional grapes.

All our wines are made with great attention to detail, from the vineyard to the cellar. We work sustainably, harvest by hand, and intervene as little as possible during winemaking, allowing each wine to naturally reflect the vintage and the land it comes from.
