Nestled in the hamlet of Bargino, in the heart of the prestigious Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Tenuta l'Apparita is a boutique winery surrounded by rolling vineyards, olive groves, and peaceful woodland. Here, nature, passion, and tradition live in harmony — and every bottle tells the story of this land.

At the heart of the estate is Paolo, whose love for wine goes far beyond a profession. From sommelier to graduate in Viticulture and Oenology, alongside his career as a cardiologist, his journey is one of curiosity, dedication, and courage. Evenings of wine tasting with friends eventually grew into a dream: planting 7,500 Sangiovese vines and creating a truly personal winery. Today, Paolo shares this adventure with Francesca and Vieri, blending passion, knowledge, and creativity.

At Tenuta l’Apparita, harvest is a celebration. Family and friends gather among the vines, laughter mixes with the scent of grapes, and each vintage carries memories as well as aromas. Here, tradition and modern techniques work together to let the wines express the true soul of the Tuscan terroir.

d’Assolo, our first wine, is a true tribute to this iconic Tuscan grape, vibrant, elegant, and full of personality. d’Assolo is a pure Sangiovese aged in large oak casks, crafted to highlight elegance, balance, and remarkable aging potential. 

Over time, the collection has grown: a Sangiovese aged in barrique, richer and more structured; a red vinified and matured in stainless steel, vibrant and immediate; and a rosé made with the saignée method, fresh, lively, and full of character.

Our journey continues. New ideas are taking shape, new projects are quietly growing — always inspired by the land and the desire to share wines that celebrate not only the territory, but people, passion, and joy.

Every step, from vineyard to bottle, is carefully guided by a balance of tradition and modern techniques, ensuring each wine tells the story of our land. Our reds are aged for around four years, allowing the Sangiovese to develop complexity, maintain freshness, and soften its tannins, resulting in wines that are elegant, balanced, and ready to be enjoyed.
