"Essence" escape: 1 night at Palas Cerequio in Barolo

Your stay takes place at Palás Cerequio in La Morra, a relais owned by the Michele Chiarlo family. The property is a restored historic residence located in one of Barolo's most celebrated crus, surrounded by the vineyards of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

You can choose between a Junior Suite, Suite, or Suite Riserva for your one-night stay. The Junior Suites offer a more intimate setting, while the Suites provide more space, both with elegant interiors and views of the estate. During your stay, you will have access to the outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool. A buffet breakfast is also included.

The centerpiece of your holiday is the 'La Selezione Michele Chiarlo' tasting, guided by one of the resort's wine experts in the tasting room. The experience journeys through some of Piedmont's most important denominations, beginning with the Gavi di Gavi DOCG Rovereto, a white wine made from Cortese grapes. You will then move on to two reds that define the region: Nizza DOCG Cipressi, from Barbera, and Barbaresco DOCG Reyna, from Nebbiolo.

The tasting then focuses entirely on Barolo, first with the Barolo DOCG Tortoniano, a classic expression of Nebbiolo. The final glass is the Barolo DOCG Cerequio, produced from grapes grown in the very cru that surrounds Palás Cerequio. This brings the tasting to a natural conclusion, connecting the wine in your glass to the landscape right outside.

The rest of your stay is free to enjoy Palás Cerequio and the surrounding Langhe, with La Morra, Barolo and the other historic wine villages within easy reach. The following morning, breakfast is included before departure.
