"Essence" weekend at Agriturismo with winery Vigna del Malina

Your two-night Friuli wine holiday is based at the Vigne del Malina agriturismo in Orzano di Remanzacco, set in the countryside between Udine and Cividale del Friuli. You can choose between a comfortable Standard Room or the more spacious Suite. Each morning begins with a breakfast of sweet and savory items, including eggs, local cured meats and cheeses, fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and seasonal fruit.

The package includes two distinct winery experiences that introduce you to the grapes and styles of eastern Friuli.

Your First Wine Experience is at Vigne del Malina, which takes place directly at the agriturismo. Guided by a member of the hospitality team, you will tour the winery, focusing on the main stages of production and the estate’s approach to aging. The tour concludes in the hospitality area with a tasting of six wines from recent vintages. The selection is designed to showcase the estate's range, drawn from their Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, as well as a Merlot-based rosé. The tasting is paired with local products: cured meats from D’Osvaldo and goat cheeses from Zore. When the weather allows, the tasting can be held outdoors.

Your second visit takes you to the Bastianich Winery, founded in 1997 near Cividale del Friuli. Here, a member of the hospitality team will welcome you. You'll learn how the local *ponca* soil, a layered marl and sandstone unique to the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, shapes the character of the wines. The guided tasting features four wines, highlighting the contrast between two of the winery's collections. You will taste two wines from the Orsone line, which focuses on single-variety expressions of native grapes like Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, and two from the Cru line, which includes more structured wines from select vineyard sites like the Vespa Bianco and Vespa Rosso.

The two experiences do not need to follow a fixed order and can be scheduled according to wineries availability when booking leaving the rest of your time free to explore Cividale del Friuli, Udine and the surrounding Friulian countryside.
