In 1986 Enzo Marcolini and his wife Carla fell in love with a place that was as magic as rocky and harsh. In this moment our family estate was born.

Today, Il Monte Caro is one of those vibrant places to which it is impossible to be indifferent. We work daily on the production of distinctive wines of high quality, which reveal the unique terroir of Mount Caro and our Valpolicella wine region. Our farm is a vibrant ecosistem of seven hectares of vineyards, olive and fruit trees, bees and wild herbs which surround completely the winery and the family home.

Il Monte Caro is an organic farm where the fine products are the result of sustainable choices and care for Nature, its biodiversity and soil.

To our family the key words of the cellar are authenticity and conviviality. Only healthy grapes enter the cellar and we use only indigenous yeasts to make products where freshness and a delicate drinking attitude shape the convivial aspect of wine.

You can find the beauty of this approach in all our range of products: from the youngest, fresh and versatile wines to the more structured Valpolicella DOC Superiore and Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. In our Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG you will find a new style that is focused on the complexity of dried grapes. It is a wine with a vibrant personality, of a great intensity and yet fresh.

Other than the wines, we propose a multi-cultivar extra virgin olive oil with intense aromas that will take you through the traditions of our Verona hills to our family table.
