We had the most wonderful afternoon at this family-run vineyard and winery. From the moment we arrived, Paolo and his son made us feel incredibly welcome. They shared fascinating stories about their life, the history of the vineyard, and the winemaking process with so much passion and authenticity. It felt less like a wine tasting and more like spending time with old friends. The setting itself is breathtaking – sitting high up on the mountain beside the family home, surrounded by vineyards, enjoying spectacular views while tasting exceptional wines. Every wine was beautifully explained, and Paolo’s son was equally knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Together they created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making sure we felt comfortable throughout the experience. The cold meat and cheese platter deserves a special mention – without a doubt one of the tastiest we’ve ever had. The quality and flavours were outstanding and paired perfectly with the wines. What truly sets this place apart is the warmth and generosity of the family. They even kindly drove us back to Agropoli afterwards, which was greatly appreciated and completely above and beyond what we expected. If you’re visiting the Agropoli area and looking for an authentic Italian wine experience, this is an absolute must. Amazing wines, incredible hospitality, stunning views, and wonderful people. Our Full Day Valpolicella Wine Tour from Verona exceeded every expectation and was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. From beginning to end, everything was exceptionally well organized. Our driver operated the Mercedes van safely and professionally, allowing us to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside without a care. The true star of the day, however, was our guide, Sara, with *Your Local Guide SNC*. A self-professed Italian wine sommelier, Sara was absolutely wonderful. She was charming, witty, engaging, and highly responsive to every question we asked. Her excellent command of English made the tour easy to follow, and she struck the perfect balance between being personable and informative without ever becoming socially overwhelming. Her passion for Italian wines and the Valpolicella region was evident throughout the day. The wineries we visited were stunning, each offering its own unique character and breathtaking surroundings. The wine tastings were outstanding, with the Amarone selections being particularly memorable. Every wine we sampled was simply divine. Lunch at the Locanda was another highlight, featuring delicious regional cuisine that paired beautifully with the wines. We left with a much deeper appreciation of Valpolicella wines and would enthusiastically recommend this tour to anyone visiting Verona.
