Sensational Experience!!!
We discovered this place through an online search. To get there from Livorno, the road offers ups and downs through beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into this winery, where inside there are wine barrels of every kind and a staff that explains right away where we are. The tasting is the real gem: 4 glasses and a platter in the middle with an exhaustive and passionate explanation. Highly recommended for couples as well as for families, even for those alone, all just a stone's throw from San Gimignano.

We booked a wine tasting where we could taste 5 wines from the house rabiega, and a 3 course lunch in the restaurant.
The hostess was incredibly kind and gave us the best experience she could do. We got some extra wine to taste and she gave us a small tour in the wine cellars. After the tasting we walked to the restaurant where we had the best lunch on our whole trip. Even the bottles wine we ordered in the restaurant were fair priced. There is no catch!

The young woman who accompanied us inside the winery was very precise and well-prepared... the facility has been modernized using present-day technology but also has spaces from the past that blend well with the modern... we found the wines we tasted to be of excellent quality, in fact we took a few bottles home from the shop.

Experience at Casale di Mattia
We were welcomed in an exquisite manner by the owner of the house, who kindly showed us the entire life cycle of the wine produced.
Afterwards we had the pleasure of an abundant tasting of cured meats and cheeses, bruschetta and legumes, accompanied by 3 types of wines produced by them.
After that, the owner also kindly offered us some small ring cakes of their own production.
I must say, everything was above expectations and we will be back soon.

A beautiful day spent in a postcard-perfect landscape, we took the winery tour and then we stopped for lunch which we had already booked along with the tour.
I would absolutely recommend this delightful winery and I will want to come back for the place, for the exceptional staff, and the surprising food.

I was there yesterday with my cousins for a birthday present, we really had a good time, fantastic people, you can see that they care about their work and they do it and talk about it with love, a beautiful tour through the vineyards with their history, a beautiful place surrounded by greenery and an excellent wine tasting with an accompanying explanation and a platter made entirely by them to pair with the wines. A highly recommended experience to spend a different kind of afternoon, highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
