Special Vintages Wine Tasting & Tour at Il Roccolo di Monticelli

Your experience begins in Monticelli, where Silvia, the owner and founder of Il Roccolo, will welcome you to her family's restored vineyards. Silvia personally guides the entire visit, creating an informal atmosphere that encourages conversation as she shares the story of the estate.
The day starts with a guided walk through the vineyards and olive groves. As you take in the panoramic views, you'll learn about the agricultural choices that shape the wines. Next, you will travel to the winery in nearby Illasi. The tour continues through the production area and cellar, focusing on the estate's low-intervention philosophy, including spontaneous fermentations and the use of different aging vessels.
The visit concludes in the cellar's dedicated hospitality area for a guided tasting of five organic wines. Silvia selects the bottles based on the season, so each tasting is unique. The selection may include still or bottle-refermented whites from Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, a Molinara rosé, or red blends from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella.
The wines are served with a platter of seasonal cheeses and cured meats from the Verona area, such as Monte Veronese and local soppressa, alongside artisanal bread and the estate's own organic extra virgin olive oil.

Where we are and how to reach us
This experience takes place in two locations. After meeting at the vineyard in Monticelli (Lavagno), you will need to drive your own car to the winery in Illasi, an 8-minute drive away. Free parking is available at the winery.
Please note the area is not easily accessible by public transport. The winery visit may not be fully accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
