Organic Wine Tasting & Winery Tour at Il Roccolo di Monticelli in Illasi

Your host is Silvia, the owner of Il Roccolo di Monticelli. She restored her family’s vineyard to create this organic winery in the hills of Lavagno, and personally oversees everything from the vines to the cellar.

The experience begins with a walk through the winery and its production areas. Here, Silvia will explain the estate's low-intervention philosophy, from the use of spontaneous fermentations to the winery's connection with the Mezzane Valley. Her informal approach allows for plenty of questions and conversation.

The tour concludes in the cellar's dedicated hospitality area for a guided tasting. You will try three organic wines, selected by Silvia based on the season and availability. The selection offers an insight into the winery's work with local grapes, and may include still or bottle-refermented white wines from Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, a bottle-refermented Molinara rosé, or red blends of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella.

The tasting is paired with artisanal bread and the estate's own organic extra virgin olive oil. This is an opportunity to meet the person behind the project, hear stories directly from the cellar, and taste wines produced in limited quantities with a deep respect for nature.
