Here is what's in store for you
This wine-tasting experience will take place in a very intimate environment in Porto Locals' shop in the city center of Porto, right in front of one of the most emblematic buildings in Porto, The "Palácio da Bolsa".
You will start the experience by learning about Portuguese wines and wine regions across the country.
During the tasting, you will have the opportunity to learn how to open a Porto wine bottle with fire (basically by burning a special scissor and then "cutting" the bottle); this is an ancient process that is still used in order to do not destroy the cork while opening the bottle and keep the wine intact. As this process takes some time while waiting you will be served some Madeira, Red and White wine, all pared with dry fruits and cheeses. When the scissor will be warm enough, we will finally open the Port bottle and try the king of all wines in Portugal, Port Wine. You will taste 5 wines in total.
