About the Winery
With over a century of history, Poças is a family-owned Port Wine company, now in its 4th generation. Founded in Portugal, Poças has remained in the same family's hands since its inception, making it one of the rare Portuguese-owned Port Wine producers. The company operates three wine estates in different Douro sub-regions, with Quinta das Quartas being a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001.
About the Wines
Poças is renowned for its exceptional Tawny Ports and Colheitas, alongside a diverse range of red and white Port Wines. In 1990, the company expanded its portfolio to include DOC Douro wines, defying the belief that the Douro region wasn't suitable for such production. Today, Poças is recognized as one of the leading producers of DOC Douro wines in Portugal, further solidifying its reputation for quality and innovation.

Good Port, the rest could be improved
The Port we tasted was undoubtedly good.
I recommend booking directly with them, because the reservation made on this platform was not in their system.
The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful and still put us on the tour we had booked.
