Amazing experience
We found the Pocas winery on the Internet and thus decided to give it a try. The visit to the winery with the expert was amazing, he explained the history of Port wine, but also about the winery and his family, how the wine is made and what the differences are. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. The visit ended with a tasting accompanied by pastel de nata. I definitely recommend making a reservation!

Tra le pochissime cantine a conduzione familiare rimaste, non vanta natali antichissimi ma rappresenta probabilmente uno dei pochi luoghi in cui respirare la tradizione autentica e dove degustare dei Porto davvero eccellenti

La cantina non è’ situata in una posizione visibile dal Douro ma l’ho scelta poiché è 100% di proprietà di portoghesi, non volevo i grandi brand inglesi. Esperienza interessante, guida molto simpatica capace di raccontare la tecnica di produzione e la cultura del porto in maniera accattivante. Esperienza che consiglio

The tour guide was very friendly and gave very good information. He also knows very well how to keep people interested. The winetasting was very good and nice. The people working there are very kind, friendly and nice people. I really enjoyed my time there and would go back if i'm ever in Porto again.

Il tour della cantina è stato molto istruttivo, la nostra guida era veramente preparata e professionale, senza contare il fatto di averci spiegato tutto in italiano! Anche la varietà di Porto inclusi nella degustazione ci hanno soddisfatti. Un'ottima esperienza che consiglio senza alcun dubbio!
Ps per chi viaggia in macchina come noi, un'altra nota positiva è stata la facilità di parcheggio proprio davanti alla cantina

With over a century of history, Poças is a family-owned Port Wine company, now in its 4th generation. Founded in Portugal, Poças has remained in the same family's hands since its inception, making it one of the rare Portuguese-owned Port Wine producers. The company operates three wine estates in different Douro sub-regions, with Quinta das Quartas being a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001.
