Stroll through the historic center, passing monuments and narrow streets while stopping at traditional establishments to experience the flavors that are part of everyday Veronese life.
Start at a historic pastry shop with coffee and a local pastry such as a zeletto or risino, before visiting a historic bakery to taste focaccia. The experience continues at a traditional trattoria, where you'll enjoy a seasonal Veronese dish. Depending on the season and availability, this may be Amarone risotto, bigoli, gnocchi, tagliatelle, or tortelli. During the food experience, enjoy 2 DOC wines from the wine territories of Soave, Lake Garda, and Valpolicella, selected to accompany the local flavors.
Wine takes center stage with a stop at a historic wine bar, where you'll enjoy another 2 glasses of Valpolicella wine: Ripasso and Amarone. Your guide will introduce you to these emblematic local wines while you experience the atmosphere of a traditional Veronese enoteca. Altogether, the tour includes 4 glasses of local wine.
Complete your gastronomic journey with a sweet stop at a historic gelateria or traditional Pandoro producer, depending on the itinerary. With its combination of breakfast, gastronomic tastings, a traditional local dish, desserts, and wines, the experience offers enough food to serve as your lunch.
The tour also combines gastronomy with some of Verona's history and most characteristic sights. When included according to the seasonal schedule, you'll take the panoramic funicular and admire Verona from above, adding a memorable view of the city to your exploration of its culinary heritage.
