Panoramic Aperitif with 3 Sparkling Wines at Castrum in Valpolicella Classica
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience takes place at Castrum, a family-run boutique winery located in the historic Casa dei Fraccaroli, a residence from 1790 in the medieval village of Castelrotto. Situated on a panoramic hill at the gateway to Valpolicella Classica, the estate sits next to Castrum Rotari, a 7th-century fortress considered the “zero kilometer” point of the region.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by a member of our hospitality team for an informal aperitif.
The tasting includes three sparkling wines from the winery's Gold Collection: a Prosecco DOC, a Prosecco Rosé DOC, and a Moscato. The wines are paired with a platter of cheeses from Lessinia, such as Monte Veronese, and traditional Sbrisolona cake. For a richer pairing, you can upgrade to a gourmet platter that includes locally cured meats, aged cheeses, and artisanal mostardas.
The aperitif is held either under the panoramic pergola or in the indoor panoramic room, depending on availability, with both spaces offering views over the Valpolicella Classica hills and the city of Verona. For younger visitors, non-alcoholic mocktails can be prepared if requested in advance.
