Wine Tasting with Local Products at Veronese Beatrice in Valpolicella

Your experience at the Veronese Beatrice estate begins with a welcome glass of wine, hosted by one of the three sisters who run the winery. They continue a family tradition where each wine is named after a fabric, a tribute to their mother Beatrice's love for textiles.

Your host will then lead you to the small vineyard located just beneath the winery to show you the local grape varieties. From there, you'll continue with a guided tour of the production and aging cellars. The tasting takes place either in the dedicated tasting room or on the outdoor patio, depending on the weather.

You will taste four wines of your choice from the estate's main range, which includes:

Tulle, Prosecco DOC: a crisp, floral sparkling white (Glera).
Seta, Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC: a silky, fresh white.
Taffetà, Soave DOC: a fuller, honeyed white from Garganega.
Damasco, Valpolicella DOC: a young, fresh red  (Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella)  with bright cherry.
Dogaressa, Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore: the same blend re-fermented on Amarone and Recioto skins; warmer and more structured.
Lampasso, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG: bold and full-bodied, from grapes dried before pressing.
Chiacchierino, Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG: a sweet dessert red, also from dried grapes.

The wines are served with a platter of the estate's own products, including Monte Veronese cheese with jams, Soppressa Veneta, rolled pancetta, and bread with the winery's Valpolicella DOP extra virgin olive oil. The estate's Amarone Riserva is the only wine not included in this tasting selection.
