5 Wine tasting gift (Nicolantonio)We received a beautiful gift of a wine and local products tasting at the Polvanera cellars in Gioia del Colle, an excellent experience that introduced us to a very innovative winery in the heart of the Bari region. We were offered a tour of the entire winery and the numerous processes to obtain various high-quality wines; furthermore, the package included, in addition to the winery tour, a tasting of local products accompanied by 5 types of wines. At the end of it all, I can say nothing other than it was an excellent experience. Kudos to the entire Polvanera company: besides having created an excellent winery, they have also created a beautiful place to spend hours sipping excellent wine and eating excellent food. Highly recommended and we will be back.

But the experience itself was very interesting, the food was delicious and abundant. The super kind and knowledgeable staff served us and explained every single wine we tasted, and in the end we even went beyond the ones planned. A truly beautiful experience!

4 Everything was very nice but... (Rossella)It was a beautiful experience. The girl who took us on the winery tour was excellent (unfortunately I don't remember her name, I remember she had arrived there about twenty days ago). Kind, very competent, and good at explaining. Compliments. The location for the tasting is truly stunning. The food is high quality. Just two "flaws" to point out. The first, less important, in the package chosen online, the menu also included mozzarella. When I asked for it, I was told it was for another experience. I double-checked and it was on our menu, but even if it had been true that it was for another experience, I don't think bringing two little mozzarella balls to the table would have compromised their budget and they would have fulfilled a wish. The second flaw, in our opinion more "serious," is that they don't change the glass during the tastings. They describe the wines and their aromas etc. very well, but then they always use the same glass, even if you switch from white to red etc... thus ending up mixing the flavors. Our request to change the glass (at least to go from whites to reds) was granted (only once), but while pointing out in a somewhat abrupt and annoyed way that they don't usually do that there. A shame. It's a fundamental detail in a luxury tasting. Finally, a little piece of advice... it would be nice to do the winery tour while already sipping a glass of wine. Apart from these details, I must say that overall it was a great experience.

5 EXCELLENT (Beatrice)I gave this experience to my partner for our anniversary and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. The guide who accompanied us during the visit and the tasting was kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The tasting itself pleasantly surprised me: the ability to personally choose which wines to taste makes the experience unique and allows, if you are with company, to taste even more than the 5 tastings included in the reservation. The location is evocative and well-kept, pleasant for an aperitivo at sunset.

4 Tasting in an exceptional setting (Regina)Winery with a lot of charm and very tasteful decoration. The woman who attended to us was very kind and gave us the tour in Spanish. Additionally, she tailored the tasting to our tastes and preferences. The experience would have been perfect if we could have visited the vineyards and the wines had been accompanied by some cheese, although we must say that they let us try their olive oil and the taralli were delicious. Highly recommended!
