Erik Banti’s winery was established in 1981, at a time when Morellino di Scansano was primarily consumed locally. Through Erik Banti’s efforts, the wine gained international recognition, with him being hailed as the “Prophet” of Morellino. Today, the winery produces Morellino di Scansano DOCG and Maremma Toscana DOC wines, including the flagship Ciabatta, first produced in 1983. The estate now relocated to a new site at the foot of the Albegna River, benefits from a stunning 360° view of the Maremma, including Montemerano and Saturnia. Since 2022, the winery has embarked on a project to become a “total green” estate, using solar power, advanced water management, and eco-friendly packaging with lightweight bottles and carbon-neutral corks. La Busattina is an organic and biodynamic farm nestled in southern Tuscany, in the Grosseto province, at 500 meters above sea level. Located between Mount Amiata and the sea, its 25-hectare estate includes 10 hectares of woodland, 5 of vineyards, 1 of olive groves, and 9 of arable land and pastures. Since 1990, the farm has embraced organic farming, and by 1998 transitioned to biodynamic methods, obtaining Demeter certification. The farm is also home to various animals like sheep, goats, and donkeys, which play a role in the natural farming ecosystem. Their biodynamic approach emphasizes minimal intervention, using green manures and biodynamic preparations, while relying on small amounts of sulfur and copper to protect the vines. The vineyards, benefiting from the day-and-night temperature variations due to the altitude, produce grapes with rich aromas and robust flavors, creating wines that are reflective of the pure and natural environment in which they grow.

Fabio, the owner, has been managing Agriturismo Galeazzi with his family for over 30 years. In addition to producing olive oil and wine, the estate also offers hospitality services through its agriturismo.
