Erik Banti’s winery was established in 1981, at a time when Morellino di Scansano was primarily consumed locally. Through Erik Banti’s efforts, the wine gained international recognition, with him being hailed as the “Prophet” of Morellino. Today, the winery produces Morellino di Scansano DOCG and Maremma Toscana DOC wines, including the flagship Ciabatta, first produced in 1983.
The estate now relocated to a new site at the foot of the Albegna River, benefits from a stunning 360° view of the Maremma, including Montemerano and Saturnia. Since 2022, the winery has embarked on a project to become a “total green” estate, using solar power, advanced water management, and eco-friendly packaging with lightweight bottles and carbon-neutral corks.
