5 Fuocomuorto is always a treat! (Cat)We have visited this winery twice so far and it's always a lovely experience. The tour is short but so interesting with the history of the grotta. Incredible views from the vineyard. The seating area is lovely and shaded, the wines are wonderful and the accompanying aperitivo is delicious (meats, cheeses, artichokes, bruschetta, etc). The host speaks English quite well enough to manage the experience and booking online is very simple.

5 Amazing experience!! (Elody)Amazing wine and food experience! We got to visit the vines and then the caves. The location, on the Vesuvio volcano , makes the place so fascinating. The host was very nice. Finally, the food and wine were AMAZING. The food was fresh, the wine was tasty and the location is amazing. I recommend and would come back again!

5 Very nice wine tasting! (Maurits)We had a really great time at this wine tasting. The owner was very friendly and answerd every question we had. The location and food we got were both perfect. We definitly recommend it, just keep in mind that you have to walk 30 minutes from the station to get there.

Some of the wines are like nothing I've tasted before. The setting for the afternoon was relaxing and good to be out of the hurried life of the city centre.

5 Wine tasting and tour of Azienda Agricola Fuocomuorto (Lorraine)Our wine tasting and tour of Azienda Agricola Fuocomuorto winery was an excellent experience. Our hosts could not be any more welcoming. We had four tastings which our host very knowledgeably told which foods on our platters paired the best with the type of wines we had. We also toured the vineyard and cellar which is actually a cave made of volcanic rock and I believe it adds to the wonderful flavour of the wines.my absolute favourite was the rosé. The owner was wonderful and even arranged a taxi for our journey back to our starting point as we were a bit flummoxed as to which way we went.

5 An amazing wine tasting experience (Amelia)We really enjoyed the wine tasting and vineyard experience at Fuocomuorto, in particular the interesting history of the family run winery, the amazing wine and the beautiful views of the bay of Naples from the vineyard was a special highlight! Gennaro provided us with a well explained vineyard tour, which he kept interesting and interactive! For the tasting itself, we enjoyed 5 besutiful wines and pairings with some delicious Italian snacks - all of which we enjoyed immensely and we wished the two hours would not end. Overall I would say that the wine tasting experience is very good value for money and I would 100% come here again and recommend this to others. We also bought some wine to take away with us - the Lava di Fuoco red wine (100% primitivo) in particular, is exceptional but the Don Gennaro white and the dry rose were also delicious.

5 Great experience! (Bernd)We had a wonderful wine tasting here today. Gennaro was a very kind host and took the time to show us around and to tell us how their wine is made. Also great to hear the stories of a vineyard that originally started in the 18th century! From the vineyard you have a great view of the city of Naples and the islands Ischia and Capri. The food that they gave us to pair with the wine was delicious. The five wines that we tasted during the special wine tasting were excellent. A very memorable experience. Recommended!

5 Amazing experience (Tiana)The view was beautiful and looking at the vineyard was stunning. The cellar was cool (temperature) which was nice after my groups long walk. Our guide was informative about his work, how long the wine sits, the pairings with the wine, and would joke with us. It was so good and a great experience, we all ordered some for home. If you want good Italian wine, go here.

3 A rather rush experience, leaving you with a full stomach at least (Fiona)It was a second vineyard I visited at Vesuvio, and it was pretty average. The wine tour was a rush, not much detail was given unless we asked (pretty much this is the vineyard, this is the cellar and this is the machine that sticks the labels). There's hardly any explanations of the wines presented for tasting, other than the information on the bottles. Hardly further interaction on the feedback on the wines, or the food. The vineyard only produces 5 wines, only one is very good (the reserva), the others are OK, nothing unique to my taste. What impressed me most is the wine vinegar they produce, almost like Modena of the south, but again, it's only on asking that more information is produced. If you like a quick experience, this vineyard might be for you, But if you'd like to learn more about the wines, the wine-making process, the stories behind and more attentive culinary experiences, you might like to try another vineyard in the region.

The history behind it was very interesting and an added bonus. Also, a huge and delicious charcuterie type plate to go with your wine tasting! My parents and I truly cherished this experience and will make sure to visit if we ever find ourselves in the area again.

5 Fabulous experience! (Luca)Me and my friend had an amazing and unbelievable experience at this winery. We arrived a little later than we booked and it caused no problem. Gennaro was very welcoming and intuitive, he showed us the vineyard, the vine cellars and the factory. We also received an amazing plate with cheese, Naple bread, charcuterie and different toppings and tasted 3 amazing vines. They were delicious, the surrounding was magical so it is really the perfect experience! Also there is a lovely view on the sea and the Vesuvius! We would recommend it to everyone!

5 Great retreat from Napoli!! (Mark)What an amazing hidden gem at the base of Mount Vesuvius. The scenery was awesome with Vesuvius behind you and the gulf in front with views of Napoli, Capri & Sorrento. The wine and food were fantastic!! I cant say enough about our host- he was kind, soft spoken and very patient as our Italian is not the best. The wine cellar is a site to behold as it was cut through the volcanic rock. I highly recommend this to all. It was a incredible memory that my daughter and I will cherish always.

5 Surprising (Pietro)Two hours out of the ordinary. A very particular place, the cave carved into the lava of Vesuvius is certainly fascinating. Gennaro is very kind and very knowledgeable, he makes you feel right at home, putting you at ease.
