Agraria Casanuova di Ama
About the Winery
Casanuova di Ama is a family-run farm nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, set against the stunning backdrop of the hills of Ama in the Gaiole in Chianti region. At an altitude of 550 meters above sea level, the estate spans 15 hectares, comprising 5 hectares of vineyards, 5 of olive groves, and 5 of forest, all encircling the historic farm buildings. The Bencini family purchased the farm in 1967, and after years of dedication to restructuring and replanting, they released their first bottles of wine, traditionally wrapped in bast fibers, in 1984. Since then, Casanuova di Ama has grown steadily, fueled by patience and passion. Today, the farm is renowned for its production of wine, Vinsanto, extra virgin olive oil, and Grappa, all crafted with deep respect for nature and a commitment to quality.
About the Wines
The wine cellar at Casanuova di Ama seamlessly blends tradition with modern innovation, reflecting the farm’s philosophy of respect for nature and dedication to quality. The process begins with the careful selection of healthy, ripe grapes, harvested with consideration of the unique characteristics of the local terroir. This respect for nature is evident in every stage of production, as the grapes are transformed with love into wines that truly express the essence of the land. The art of winemaking here lies in capturing the distinctiveness of the soil and the character of the vineyards, ensuring that each bottle is a true reflection of the region. In the cellar, the winemaking process is carried out in stainless steel tanks, both for fermentation and maturation, to preserve the purity and quality of the wine. The result is a collection of wines that embody the unique spirit of Casanuova di Ama, where tradition meets innovation in every glass.

Great wines, friendly winery and delicious food
The wines were really delicious, whether it was the Chianti Classico, Riserva, Vin Santo, Grappa or also the olive oil that was offered.
The food was also very delicious and paired wonderfully with the wines.
All of this was rounded off by the friendly nature of the hostess, the great location and the family flair of the winery.
A thoroughly wonderful experience and a trunk full of delicious memories.
Thank you very much.
Perfect wine and lunch!
The wines were excellent, which resulted in a full trunk.
Lovely wine/food pairing!

Sensational
Each dish was accompanied by its wine. It was a unique experience and definitely recommended by us, a pleasure for the palate and the spirit, a treat on a relaxing day.
Excellent tasting
Our tasting included a sparkling wine, a white, and 4 reds (of the various types of Chianti).
To accompany, a bruschetta with cherry tomatoes dressed with their own olive oil, some vegetarian appetizers, a plate of pasta with ragù, a platter of cured meats and pecorino cheese. To finish, a good dessert along with Vin Santo!
Excellent location, very beautiful view... I will gladly return!
Check the address on the map, which indicated the agriturismo was 1 km earlier (searching for the name on Google Maps brought us right there).
Excellent experience
Fantastic
We came with a small 4-year-old girl, we forgot to add it in the comments (the website didn't give an option) and it wasn't a problem at all, they attended to her just the same.
We tasted about 5, grappa and an herbal liqueur, in addition to a delicious meal from their own garden and a fabulous oil. Daniella's explanations were detailed but at the same time enjoyable and understandable.
It exceeded our expectations without a doubt.
I don't know if they have lodging, we were so comfortable that we would have stayed all day.
Thank you very much
