About the Winery
Casa Vinicola Quignones comes to life thanks to the passionate and gentle work of Alfredo Quignones, who carries on a project started by his great-great-grandfather in the 1800s, aiming today at the production of natural wines that offer a different expression of Sicily, through the use of rare grape varieties and special winemaking and aging methods. We are proudly small, producing wine and extra virgin olive oil, linked to traditional practices such as rigorous hand-harvesting and patient aging of the wines.

An all-around successful tasting
We were most warmly welcomed by Alfredo at his winery. He led us through his wine cellar and explained the production of his wines. Afterwards, there was a tasting of four wines with a corresponding culinary accompaniment. This also included homemade bread spreads as well as a caponata. Everything was very delicious and is to be recommended. We had an all-around successful tasting, which we can only recommend. His wines are a successful blend of native and well-known grape varieties, like Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc.

Extraordinary experience
The visit to the winery and the walk through the fields were very pleasant and interesting thanks to Alfredo's explanations. Afterwards, the wine tasting and tasting of Sicilian products were also excellent, accompanied at all times by the kindness and warmth of Alfredo. It has been a unique experience to remember.
