Azienda Bellaria

Bellaria Estate is located in one of the most renowned and suitable areas of Montalcino, in Tuscany. The estate was officially founded on September 23rd, 1963, when Assunto Pieri and Bruna Tempori purchased the farmhouse and surrounding land. Known affectionately in Montalcino as “Sunto,” Assunto, together with Bruna, gradually expanded and developed the winery with a clear vision: to produce wines that respected the unique zoning and qualitative identity of the territory.

Since the year 2000, the estate has been managed by their nephew Gianni Bernazzi, who has modernized and personalized the production philosophy while maintaining the winery’s most important value: deep respect for tradition as the foundation for quality winemaking.

Today, the estate covers around 40 hectares, combining vineyards and olive groves in a landscape that perfectly represents the authentic spirit of Montalcino and its agricultural heritage.

The wines of Bellaria Estate are crafted to fully express the character of the Montalcino terroir and the winery’s long-standing tradition. The estate produces prestigious labels including Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, with the Riserva produced only in exceptional five-star vintages, as well as Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Sant’Antimo Rosso, and future productions of IGT wines and Vin Santo DOC.

The vineyards are managed with careful attention to quality and territorial expression, resulting in wines that combine elegance, structure, and authenticity. Alongside wine production, the estate also cultivates olive groves with traditional varieties such as Olivastra, Correggiolo, Frantoio, and Leccino, producing a high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Completing the range is the estate’s Brunello Grappa, obtained from the pomace left after vinification.
