Founded in 1898, Contini is proud to be the first and oldest winery in Sardinia, a legacy we owe to our visionary founder, Salvatore Contini, and his wife, Anna Maria Dessì. Our story is deeply rooted in the island's history, with our vineyards spanning over 200 hectares across Sardinia. The heart of our vineyards lies in the Sinis Peninsula, nestled in the Tirso Valley and on the slopes of Monte Arci, where the unique terroir creates the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional grapes. Each of our vineyard locations benefits from distinct pedoclimatic characteristics, allowing us to produce wines that truly capture the essence of Sardinia. We are particularly proud of our commitment to reviving local autochthonous grape varieties such as Nieddera, Caddiu, and Muristellu (Sardinian Bovale), which add unique flavors and depth to our wines.
